Cove Valley Christian Youth Camp

Cove Valley Camp is nestled between two mountains in south-central Pennsylvania, and is a great place to grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. The setting at camp is one of natural beauty, with 169 acres of mostly wooded land, and miles of trails to explore.

Cove Valley Camp has several youth and adult retreats throughout the year, as well as a summer youth camp program. Cove Valley also has lodging facilities that are available for groups to relax and fellowship.

Cumberland Valley Relief Center

CVRC is a non-profit organization that works in cooperation with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches that share God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. Our mission is to provide hunger relief and material aid in the name of Christ.

Many projects are completed at CVRC to send overseas, including relief kits, hygiene kits, AIDS care kits, sewing kits, infant care kits, school kits, homemade soap, woven rugs, comforters, quilts, and canned meat. A few of the volunteer opportunities at CVRC include preparing items for kits, assembling kits for MCC, sewing patches for comforters, knotting comforters, quilting, weaving rugs, and making soap.

Book Savers

RECYCLED BOOKS… GREAT PRICES… GLOBAL IMPACT… Booksavers of Maryland is a not-for-profit organization that accepts donated books and recycles them in many ways.  We resell quality books online and in our retail store.  And we recycle the paper and cardboard from books that are deemed not worthy for resale or reuse.

Proceeds from our efforts support the work of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).  MCC works alongside local churches and communities in more than 50 countries, including Canada and the United States, to carry out disaster relief, sustainable community development and justice and peace-building work in the name of Christ.
